Luggage Essentials for a Winter Getaway

I recently got a chance to catch up with one of my girlfriends, who called to request a little assistance in packing for a ski trip. Out of my whole circle of friends, I am the only one who loves winter temps, snow, and ice! While others dream of summer, beaches, and bikinis, I am all about the cute and cozy fashions of winter! (big coats hide my chub…just sayin’) I also enjoy winter activities: hot cocoa by the fire; skiing; ice skating; you name it. Call me crazy, but I much prefer being cold, when I can just snuggle under cozy down filled blankets, as opposed to the sweltering heat of summer, when all I can do is…just be hot. LOL.

Naturally, when my friend called, I had a list of super cute and cozy items to recommend to her, which of course, she loved! Now that most of the east coast has been hit by a frigid arctic blast ❄️, there is no time like now than to share a few winter getaway luggage essentials, for those who have trouble figuring out what to pack! Among the selections are some really cute sweaters, and my favorite cable knit Ugg socks! I’ve made sure to link all of the items for you below!

Ulta Winter Prestige Skincare Kit and Review

Protect your skin from winter’s harsh and frigid air, with this Ulta Winter Prestige Skincare Kit! I ordered this the moment it became available for purchase, and I am in love with the Goodal Moisture Barrier Eye Cream, and the Nyakio Maracuja & Yangu Soothing Oil! (Both included in the kit!) I have combination to normal skin, but I do suffer from little ring-wormy looking patches of dry skin in winter, so skin oils save my life! The good thing about oils made specifically for the face is that they don’t clog your pores, or cause breakouts. If you’re going to be hitting the slopes, or hiking snowy trails, protect your skin! And don’t forget about your lips!

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Complete Look review Makeup sets like these make traveling so easy because there is no need to pack your big bulky makeup case. Believe it or not, I prefer nude lips and softly Smokey eyes in winter, as opposed to bright lips (which I love for Fall). I had been lusting after this Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Complete Look Gift Set, forever, and I finally took the plunge and ordered a few days ago. It hasn’t arrived yet, but I’m excited to try my hand at attempting this sultry look when it does!

Lastly…

Pack everything up in a chic and sleek, hard shell spinner suitcase, like this one from Delsey! I love hard suitcases because they stand up to all weather conditions, and protect your belongings, all while being surprisingly lightweight and easy to manage!

  1. Great info for winter traveling❄️

  2. This is a great list for traveling in the winter. I’d also toss in some extra leggings to wear under jeans, depending on where you’re going!

Thanks for that thought! I added a cozy pair of leggings from ModCloth that are super soft! ?

  3. These are some great ideas for winter traveling. We always go to Vegas in winter but weather is OK there so I just need a light coat usually

  4. Great suggestions and that suitcase is soo beautiful I need to get one just like that, I think I need to start planning for my next travels.

  5. These are all such fabulous choices! I really love comfy sweaters. I like the luggage too!

  6. I love this list! One thing I’d add to the list is a thermal top and bottom! I always think about the night time as well as during the day!

Thanks! I cant believe I left them off my list! I recommended thermals from Old Navy to my friend for her trip, but I also went back and added a fun pair to this post. Thanks for reading! ?

  7. Great to see you’re recommending UGGs still. They are so comfortable and warm and that’s what matters, even if my boyfriend thinks they are ugly, haha! Functional and fashionable packing list, love it!

  8. I definitely agree that a snug jumper is definitely key for a winter getaway and I am also loving the cute slipper boot socks. Are you planning to go anywhere nice this year? I am hoping that I will be able to travel more!

  9. This is a great list… I love your choices… all the outfits look just perfect from day to night ☺️??

  10. These picks are all so cute! I love all of it and I’ll take one of each please.

  11. I’m just the opposite. I like heat over cold weather any day. I do appreciate these cold weather looks though!

  12. Really nice suggestions. I am planning a small trip with my husband and daughter for my birthday next month and I need to plan my packing too!

  13. This winter has been quite unpredictable — and very cold! It’s better to be prepared. Thanks for the heads up!

  14. Great suggestions. I especially love the super cute pjs!

  15. This is a great list for winter travel. I like all your comfy and stylish choices.

  16. The winter clothes are nice. I like the winter jacket especially. Paradoxically winter is the time I am slimmest. I do not know why. Now we cant look good unless our skins look good too. I like how you included products to protect our skins from the harsh winter weather. The Nyakio Maracuja & Yangu Soothing Oil will be good for me as I put oil on my skin all the time. Thanks for sharing and for putting a different spin on the bulky clothes we wear in this season.

  17. I love winter travel but the hubby won’t let us forget the thermos! LOL

  18. We aren’t traveling this winter, but we will be 2018! Pinning this for later!

  19. I’m definitely all about the skincare and comfy pj’s for winter travel! And thermal wear 🙂
