The best holiday hot chocolate ever! Makes 4 servings. If serving 4, make a 2nd batch! You'll want another cup!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Chilled Heavy Whipping Cream, Divded
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar + 1 tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 4 oz Bittersweet (preferably 60% cocoa) chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Peppermint Extract
  • 4 Small Candy Canes (For Garnish)
Instructions
  1. Beat 12 cup cream and 1 tsp sugar in bowl until soft peaks form. Cover; chill. 

  2. Whisk 1/2 cup cream, 2 TBSP sugar, and milk in medium saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to boil. Remove from heat. 

  3. Add chocolate; whisk until smooth. Whisk in extract. 

  4. Divide chocolate among mugs. Top with cream and garnish with candy canes!
