You heard it right ARMY: Big Hit has confirmed that BTS is going on tour again for 2020! This is amazing news for legions of dedicated ARMY, but this news also comes with a dose of stomach churning anxiety: Many prior concert attendees have likened the ticket buying process as something akin to The Hunger Games! It’s a given that BTS tour tickets will sell out extremely quickly, and everyone wants those coveted floor seats. While tickets are not yet on sale, it’s important to have a solid game plan in place to ensure that you get your dream seats at your chosen venue! Here are my tips to snagging your dream seats at the 2020 BTS Tour! *Official dates listed at the end of post!

Obtain an Official BTS Global Fanclub ARMY Membership

If you love BTS, and haven’t purchased a membership, hop on it right away! Membership costs $30 USD for a calendar year, and comes with a host of benefits which you can read about here. When it comes to getting to BTS tour tickets, having an official membership will allow you to be considered for presale tickets, allowing you to snag the seats you want, before the general public!

To join, you must FIRST download two apps: Weply and Weverse. It is essential that you use the EXACT same login information (email addresses) and identifying information (full name) on both apps!

Once you’ve downloaded both apps, click here to register to become an official member.

After you purchase a membership, you will receive an email with your order number and confirmation (KEEP THIS EMAIL: You’ll need that number later!) and you’ll receive a mobile copy of your membership ID which you can find in Weverse!

Once you’ve purchased a membership, you can find your mobile Membership Card and exclusive Member’s Only content by clicking the icon circled in the photo above!

Register For Pre-Sale Events on Ticketmaster.com

You can register NOW at Ticketmaster for a possible shot at BTS Tour 2020 presale tickets! This is a must if you want those VIP/floor/barricade tickets, as they will sell out extremely fast once the sale is open to the general public.

Of course, presale preference is given to Official ARMY Fanclub Members, but non members can also have a shot at being selected for presale.

Click here to register for the official Ticketmaster presale event!

*The Presale Registration Period is January 21, 2020 through February 2, 2020 7pm PT/10pm ET

Sign Up For Alerts

If you’ve registered for presale, you’ll get an email on 2/4/2020 letting you know if you are one of the lucky ARMY selected to participate in the presale event. If not selected, you’ll have to purchase tickets on the day sales are open to the public. You’ll want to sign up for notifications through Ticketmaster so that you can be logged on the moment tickets go on sale to the general public!

On The Day Of The Sale:

Use Multiple Devices To Access Ticketmaster

Once tickets go on sale to the general public, Ticketmaster will place you in a queue. Your place in the queue is random, and is NOT based on how early you login once tickets go live. If you use multiple devices (laptop, desktop computer, cell phone, tablet) one of the devices may be ahead in the queue. I have heard (and this is just a rumor) that laptops and desktop computers can get through faster than mobile devices.

*Please note: with the new ARMY Membership presale or Verified Fan Presale, you CANNOT use multiple devices! You will receive one presale code that will be sent to your phone and goes with your Ticketmaster email. Ticketmaster will track your IP and block suspicious activity that they believe is from bots or resellers.

Ensure That Your Internet Is Functioning at High Speed

The faster your internet is, the faster you can snag those seats! You’re racing against others for the best view in the house, so speed is critical when choosing seats and getting through the payment portal. You can test your internet speed through Google.

Make Sure You Are Already Logged In To Your Ticketmaster Account

Create a Ticketmaster account ASAP if you don’t have one. You’ll want to make sure that your debit/credit card information is already entered, and that all names match your official ARMY Membership card or state approved ID (for general public). This will ensure that you are not slowed down during the ticket buying process. If you don’t want to pre-enter your bank info, make sure you have your card next to you and ready to go on the day of the sale, as typically you’re only given a 5 minute window to complete your transaction.

Don’t Give Up!

So…lets say there are 2000 people ahead of you in the queue and by the time you enter, all the floor seats are gone. It’s ok to shed some tears at this point, but don’t give up! Use the “find best available seats” option. Sometimes Ticketmaster will surprise you and pull out a VIP ticket that you thought was no longer available. Here’s why: a lot of people will snag floor seats but then balk at the final price during checkout, or simply take too long to pay. This will “time out” their transaction and put those selected tickets back into play!

How much?

Based on last year’s BTS tour prices, fans can expect to pay around $350-$400 USD for floor or soundcheck seats. This price may increase for 2020 due to BTS’ continued growth in popularity and the overwhelming demand for tickets.
