Clean Before And After Their Visit

Cleaning down all of the surfaces is the best way to limit the spread of COVID in your home. So, before anybody comes to visit, make sure that you use good quality antibacterial cleaners to wipe down all of the surfaces and things like door handles, which are likely to be touched a lot. You should also pay close attention to the toilets because it is likely that your guests will use them while they are there.

Remember, they may bring bacteria and viruses with them from the outside, so it’s equally important that you clean everything down again after they leave.

Use An Air Purifier

Combating bacteria and viruses that are floating around in the air is tough. It is recommended that you keep some windows open to get a good flow of fresh air coming through to push bacteria and viruses outside. However, you should also consider using UV air purifiers in your home to clean the air more thoroughly. UV light is a great sanitizer, so as air is drawn into the purifiers and then pumped back out, any viruses will be killed. Not only does this make your home safer for guests during the pandemic, but it also improves the overall air quality, which has a positive impact on your health.

Keep Plenty Of Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer is one of the best tools we have at our disposal in the fight against coronavirus. When you are inviting people round, it’s important that you have plenty of bottles around so people can sanitize their hands as soon as they come in and after using the toilets etc. If you are running short, you can use this great homemade hand sanitizer recipe to stock up before your visitors arrive.

Rearrange The Furniture

When you are meeting inside, it’s important that you don’t let things slip where social distancing is concerned. Unfortunately, this can be tricky and when you are meeting up with friends and family members that you haven’t seen for a long time, it’s easy to forget and start getting too close. Before you invite anybody over, it’s a good idea to rearrange the furniture, especially if you have a small home, so you can stay distanced throughout their visit. It’s best to sit outside if the weather permits, and if you do have to sit inside, you should choose a large room with plenty of space.

As the situation improves, it is possible to meet with people inside your home. However, you need to make sure that you do it safely.
