Strolling through Downtown Greensboro

I’m a little late posting this edition of “Sunday Stroll”, but this week we did Downtown Greensboro, so that Bella could go to Center City Park, and see the beauty that is Elm St. during Summer and Fall!

My husband, Bella, my mother (and Photographer), and I all decided to go strolling through downtown for a photo session, and for some good eats! Downtown is home to so many tourist attractions: Grasshoppers Stadium (baseball); Greensboro Historical Museum, Carolina Theater, City Center Park, and the Civil Rights Museum. At the heart of Downtown is Elm St., a strip lined with chic art galleries, spas and boutiques, nightclubs, and fine dining! The street lamps have hanging flowers, and the alleys and side streets are painted and appointed with Art Deco pieces or unique installations. It’s the kind of strip that you just want to drive down at night, while listening to Midnight City by M83.

Since we would be walking quite a bit, I decided to dress a little differently than I normally would. Forgoing my normal flirty and flowy style, I decided to wear one of my hubby’s shirts for the comfy factor! It was his idea that we go ahead and shoot this outfit, and I agreed because I’m pretty sure there are so many women that wear their husband’s/significant others/partner’s shirts and would be able to relate! I styled it with skinny jeans from Old Navy, and a pair of simple black sandals from Target! I’ll be linking the jeans, and similar shirts in the shopping widget below the photos, so be sure to scroll through if you want to achieve this simple but cute weekend look! ?

I love my city
We ended our stroll by relaxing at City Center Park for a while, and watching Bella, who was adorably fascinated by a leaf! (It’s the little things…she’s the type of child that would rather play with the box than the toy! ?)
